Choosing your lighting: rattan pendant, table lamp, floor lamp

The right light does more than illuminate: it sets a room's mood. Pendant, table lamp or floor lamp, each has its role. Here is how to choose, and how to layer them for warm, thoughtful light.

The pendant: adding height

A pendant draws the eye upward and frames a space: above a table, an island or a reading corner. A rattan pendant adds a natural material and a very soft, diffused light. Discover our woven rattan pendant and the full pendant collection.

The table lamp: light up close

Table lamps create warm points of light at eye level: on a console, a bedside table or a sideboard. They make a room welcoming at night. Browse our table lamps.

The floor lamp: dressing a corner

A floor lamp fills an empty corner and casts vertical light without cluttering a surface. Perfect beside an armchair or behind a sofa. See the floor lamp collection.

Layering the sources: the rule of three levels

A well-lit room mixes three heights of light:

  • High: a pendant for general light
  • Mid: a table lamp for mood
  • Low: a floor lamp to dress a corner

By varying the heights, you avoid the flat light of a ceiling fixture and create depth. All our pieces are in the lighting collection.

Choosing the right light temperature

For a warm interior, aim for a warm light (around 2200 to 2700 K). It flatters materials, wood and textile, and makes a room more intimate at night.

Composing the whole
